ÁLVARO SIZA VIEIRA
A Portuguese architect who completed works and won awards all over the world. In 1992, he was awarded the Pritzker Prize, which is regarded as the Oscar of the architecture world, for the rebuilding of the Chiado, area of Lisbon, damaged by fire in 1988, and a new Library for Aveiro University. In Brazil, Álvaro Siza completed the iconic Iberê Camargo Foundation Building, in Porto Alegre.
